Katie Brandes is so awesome. She's so nice. And so is Sarah... what was it?Sarah Mattanio? Anyway, they're awesome
Okay... this is a little... odd?
So at the horse show, there are the gate guys, the guys who are in charge of when you go in your class and everything, and at one of the arenas I show in, there's this gate guy named Jeff. He's 22? or so, and he's cool, my friends and I hang out with him, and he's not bad looking. So I was leaving today and I say to him, "See you next week!" and he puts out his arm and gives me a hug, and while he's giving me a hug he leans down and kisses my cheek. I was just like, "Uh, yeah, see you later." How odd.

I hate Harvard-Westlake. Hate Hate Hate Hate Hate Hate Hate Hate Hate Hate Hate Hate.
I'm incredibly confused right now. About everything. And everyone. And why don't I have the nerve to ask him out? And how do I already know that I'm going to cry at the end of this show? And what am I gonna do about this awful terrible school I'm at? And I'm terribly confused about some people, I just don't know what to do about them. By the way, did I mention I hate Harvard-Westlake?

Okay, so he wasn't there, his mom said he was at his friend's house but she said she'd have him call me and yeah, he wasn't there, but at least I didn't hang up after the first ring or dial the first 6 digits and then not dial the last so it's a breakthrough!!!! WOo HoO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Emily, thanks Ingrid :)
Thanks Doug :)
And thanks Claire and Laura, my locker is beautiful :)

So I'm staying home again today. I feel a bit better, and my birthday was actually alright.
I got a really awesome Zen Garden, and a fountain that sounds like rain, very relaxing.

My brother and Megan called too, they have AWESOME news! So Matt and Megan went to this big party, and so they started networking. Megan was telling this man about Matt and her plans, and the movies they had made, the budgets they had worked with, and the man said that he had a friend in the room in the back that he was sure would love to meet them. So Megan went and got Matt and they went to the room in the back. And who was this man's friend? Matt Damon!!! Matt FUCKING Damon!!! So Matt(my brother) and Megan started to tell Matt Damon about the 3 student movies they had scripts for and they wanted to make. Matt Damon was very very very impressed with my brother's writing skills and ideas and with Megan's budgeting and producing skills. So he said he wanted "to do lunch" the next day. So the three of them met and what does Matt Damon do? He hands them a check for $64,000!!!! So it's not the $5,000,000 they need for Sandman, but it is enough to get all three of their student movies done, and Matt Damon says they can use his name as an Executive Producer, which will draw in more backers and seem more impressive when they show these movies to try to draw in money for other movies. Plus, Matt Damon might act in one of the movies, which would bring in even MORE money, so all in all, life's going well for them. Now THAT'S what I call good fortune, do they have a guardian angel or what?

Mimi's Movie Reviews:
The Royal Tenenbaums
Many people really truly loved this movie, but my brother and I thought it was absolutely terrible. Neither of us like that director, and we think that he has no business making movies, though this was probably his best, which makes me want to cry. Angelica Huston was definetely the best in this movie, and Gene Hackman was also very good. Gwenyth(sp?) Paltrow was as good as she could have been in that particular role, but poor Bill Murray must have been bored to tears in his role. Ben Stiller was absolutely incredibly bad and whoever gave him the role needs to bury themselves in the sand and never come up. There is no way that man can play anything other then some sort of psychotic, if he can even play that. Luke Wilson was bad, and that's all I can bother to say about him. But Owen Wilson... ugh. Watching that man attempt to act is like hearing nails on a blackboard. How he ever got into acting is beyond me. Now, about the making of this movie. This director has a specific style that he has stuck to with all his movies, and he needs to realize that it doesn't always work. He shoots all of his shots parallel(sp?) to the immediate scenery making the shot look as flat as Paltrow's hair in this movie, and giving the look as if it was all shot on blue screen. Why he does that is beyond me. And then the music...none of the music fit the mood and it was all so poorly chosen. Plus, the music was out of sync. That bothered me to no end. It's not that hard to put it into sync!!!!! Sigh. What else was wrong with this movie? The story. The overall story didn't go with the dark side story it was mixed with. You can't call that dark comedy, because it wasn't. It was a dark story mixed in with a different comedic story. For it to be a dark comedy, the dark story would have had to be funny. And it wasn't. Or the overall comedic story would have had to be dark, and it wasn't. This was a bad movie and needs to be put out of its misery. What did the rest of you think?
The Mothman Prophecies
A complete waste of money. The real life story is moderately interesting, but it was told so poorly that you really couldn't understand a thing that was going on. It was told in a very jumpy way, as it was shot. Yes, the shot where they don't use a filter is more realistic, but we sort of need to see what the shot is of. Most of the movie was so incredibly blurry, it was laughable(sp?). Yes, I know that the style was meant to give a feeling of confusion, but not to that much of an extreme. The movie was about 2 hours or so and it could have been 1 hour. It just wouldn't end! It was like "What Lies Beneath." There were maybe 10 different times where it could have ended, and we all thought it would, and then... more! When it finally did end, the ending was weak and dissapointing. The entire movie whirled around and was a waste of time. There were too many parts of it that weren't needed for the movie, and it truly made me feel like beating my head against a brick wall. Has anyone else seen this abomination(sp?) of movie making? What did you think?

So I just got back from Week 1 of Indio (the 6 week horse show). It was so much fun. Chubby and Kaiser were awesome, I'm really getting to know them well. But it's so funny because each day my horse's groom bets against this other groom from our "rival barn" and each day he bet $100, and I beat her. That was fun. Once he bet $600 against another groom that I'd win, and he told me about it before I competed. Then I won. Heh heh heh. But I totally ate dirt today, when I fell off in the warm up ring. Kaiser jumped this HUGE fucking jump, so incredibly wide, and he caught his leg on the back rail, and had to sort of hop to get out of the way, and I got jumped off, but I landed almost under his legs and I had to roll so fast to get out of the way. Then I sort of sat there spitting dirt and laughing for a little. It was so funny. But we were awesome in the show ring, so it's okay. I still can't believe I fell off. I haven't fallen off for about a year. I was under his legs and still I laughed about it. I LOVE THE SHOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RIDING IS THE BEST THING IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK NEXT WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! INDIO IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, so everybody congratulate Alex. She was so awesome this week and she got Champion!!!!! CHAMPION!!!!!!!!!!! She also got Reserve Champion!!!!!!!!!! AHHH!!!!! She was so fabulous. Congratulations Princess!!!!!!!!! You're awesome. And Erica thinks we're on drugs...... ERICA IS RIDING STEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, I only have to take one final and I'm still nervous. Spanish is such a pain in the ass. I must say, after sleeping in a hotel bed for 4 nights, there's nothing more comforting then your own, soft, comfortable, normal bed. Especially when you're tired.

I've been laughing since second period. It's now 5th period. How much longer is this going to go on? I'm laughing so hard, I'm crying.. All because of Trekkies. Just thinking about it sends be into fits of laughter. That was the funniest damn movie I've ever seen. It's an actual documentary about Trekkies (Star Trek Fanatics). It's the funniest damn thing, they're all so serious about Star Trek. After Star Trek Generations came out, I got harassed at school by all the Trekkies... "What was it like to actually be in a movie with Captain Kirk?" "Oh my god, you were so cute when you kissed Patrick Stewart!" "What's the real ship like?" "Can you sign my arm?" "Can I get a picture with you?" INSANITY!!!!

Thanks Chuck, you made me feel so much better. What would I do without you? Love.
I get this weird feeling around him. I feel like I'm in a remake of "She's All That" and I play Laney. You all know the story, right? The popular guy makes a bet with his friends that he can make any unpopular girl popular, and he picks Laney. He is really nice to her, takes her out and all, and she starts to fall for him, then she finds out it was just a bet. I mean, sure, in the movie he actually falls for her, and apologizes and all, and it ends happily ever after, but it's a movie. Basically, I think that it's a joke, or a bet or something. I mean, why would one of the most popular guys in my grade all of a sudden start being really friendly and flirtatious with ME??? It doesn't make any sense at all. So that's the conclusion I've come to....
Ahhh, working out always makes me feel better, no matter what. I mean, I'm still sorta down, but I feel better.
